Pendle is a DeFi protocol that enables users to tokenize and trade future yields on their crypto assets. It does this by splitting yield-bearing assets into principal tokens (PT) and yield tokens (YT), allowing for the separation and trading of yield separately from the underlying asset. This enables strategies like fixed yield investments, yield speculation, and hedging against yield downturns.
